About Us

Singapore Frisbeesports (SFS) is made up of a core group of passionate Frisbee enthusiasts who are looking to give back something to the game of Ultimate. In addition, our crew (being young at heart & also closet teachers) are people who love educating & interacting with kids.

SFS Mission

We passionately educate & promote the sport of Ultimate Frisbee to all ages, especially to the young (in age & heart).

Our Vision

To firmly establish Ultimate Frisbee in schools as a recognized CCA through our Frisbee Introduction Program (FIP) & by running annual Junior & Youth tournaments & leagues.

We work closely with Singapore Sports Council (SSC) & Ultimate Players Association (Singapore) seeking to promote & facilitate participation of juniors & youths in Frisbeesports.
SFS work is divided into 3 specialist areas –  a) teaching  b)  promoting and c) events.
This includes introducing our custom-designed FIP in schools as well as organizing events like Frisbee clinics, inter-School friendlies, tournaments & leagues.

SFS Timeline

SFS humble beginnings in 2002
Uncle Ra started to go around schools knocking on PE HOD doors, volunteering to teach school kids Ultimate Frisbee after school.

2004: FIP is born.  Together with Miss Siti Nurwati, Uncle Ra co wrote Frisbeesports Introduction Program (FIP). Shuqun Secondary School was the first school in which FIP was conducted. FIP is now in its 4th year running.

We’re Official! 2006. SFS was registered with Registry of Business. Also in 2006, SFS was one of the service providers endorsed by SSC/Ministry Of Education for the Sports Education Program (SEP) Pilot Project.

Busy busy in 2007. SFS again appointed SEP service provider. This year, SFS is involved in 28 schools conducting FIP or Ultimate Frisbee during PE, CCA or as post exam activities. SFS also began conducting Frisbee team building programs, FIP for teachers & FIP for women.

FIP is a SSC SEP – endorsed program!
